Chutneys & MostardasServing Suggestions: Chutneys are considered a "savory" condiment, typically used as an addition to a cheese tray or as an accompaniment to meat and poultry. My chutneys all start with a fruit base (peach, plum, cranberry, blueberry or rhubarb), and typically include onions, garlic, vinegar, brown sugar and various spices. All chutneys are very low in sugar. Robust cheeses as Stilton or Gorgonzola are especially good paired with chutneys or try them with a round of brie. Mostardas are often known as an "Italian chutney." Mostardas typically combine fresh and dried fruit, mustard and mustard seeds, and frequently a sweet wine. They are generally sweeter than typical East Indian chutneys. Local orders can be filled for a reduced shipping cost by emailing me.
